Our Background

RAMM Software was set up to focus on the development of software for use by New Zealand Road Controlling Authorities and engineering consultants. Our key product, RAMM, is used by or on behalf of 100% of the Road Controlling Authorities in New Zealand, and we provide these clients with ongoing development resources and support.

Tools We Use

RAMM Software uses Delphi from Borland as its primary front end development tool. Having produced software in this environment for many years we have developed a number of components that greatly assist us in the production of highly functional, yet easily maintainable software. Additionally we are also developing for the .NET framework using Microsoft's C# language.

Our database of choice is Informix. We have extensive knowledge of this product with over 70 clients (large and small) using our applications in this environment. RAMM Software also has in-house knowledge of Oracle, Sybase and SQL Server. Our flexible approach to database design/implementation means we will adapt to your requirements as appropriate.

We have used MapInfo's MapX software development kit for all of our mapping integration requirements.

Our Hosting Service uses Citrix Metaframe Presentation Server to enable you to use our software through your internet browser.
